These seconds dowel caps may have slight rough grain, marks in the wood grain or blackened interior to the half-drilled hole, which doesn’t affect the outside of the head bead at all and was probably caused by drilling friction.
Made of beech, so the woodgrain will be different than our other head beads.
PLEASE NOTE - these peg heads have a middle size hole (13.5mm) which will simply fit over most 'typical' small-headed dolly pegs. They might be a little loose on some pegs, or the peg might need a tiny bit of sanding for others.
